Open design furniture workshop

Brunel University will be running a furniture making workshop on the 9th and 10th of November from 10am to 1pm in MakLab, the open fabrication studio based in The Lighthouse in the centre of Glasgow.
It is free to take part, all materials will be provided for you and there will be instructors there to guide you if you need it.
Anyone can take part, you don’t need to be a maker to come along and get involved. The workshop is part of a research project currently being run by Brunel university looking into the future of making, community workshops and open source design. Researchers and the MakLab staff will be on hand on the day to give advice and to ask questions.
On the day you will be following instructions to make an open source chair design from designer James Tooze.
